1. The Fish & Chip Shop, Stevenage

Located on 97 High Street Old Town, The Fish & Chip Shop is very appropriately named and is extremely popular on TripAdvisor.
"Far and away the best fish and chips I've EVER had," writes one visitor on the eatery's official reviews page. "Best fish ever."
Another says: "This place is the best Fish and chip shop in Stevenage, clean, tidy friendly attentive staff always lovely customer service."
2. Godfrey's, Harpenden

Picked by another Gracie-Mae UK reader was Godfrey's on 41 High Street, Harpenden.
Boasting more than 800 reviews on TripAdvisor, this chippy tea is almost guaranteed to go down a real treat, with a wealth of positive feedback.
"The cod, chips, fish fingers, pie, tartare sauce, curry sauce were all excellent, as on previous visits. We will continue visiting. Excellent value for money."
3. Captain's Fish & Chips, Hoddesdon

Another Gracie-Mae UK Facebook recommendation, Captain's Fish & Chips is located on 60 High Street and is hugely popular on social media.
"Definitely worth a visit. The food is amazing and always freshly cooked. Our go to place when visiting the area. You won't be disappointed," writes one.
"We've never had a bad meal from Captain Cod. We can't praise they're fish & Chips enough. Keep up the quality. We will keep coming back."
4. The Prince George, Watford

Located at 151 St. Albans Road, The Prince George is another favourite for residents in Hertfordshire getting their chippy tea fix.
One happy visitor wrote: "Is it possible to give a 10 star review. Well tonight our family had the best traditional dinner so close to the Watford Junction."
Another adds: "For main I had fish and chips which was brilliantly cooked, crispy batter and fresh, my husband had the burger which was lovely."
5. The Sea Tree Ware, Ware

Last, but certainly not least is The Sea Tree Ware, located on 12A High Street, Ware.
